Food bank, community farm and infant school receive Beddington community benefit fund cash

COVID-19 lockdowns might have changed how many of us live our lives, but the Beddington Community Benefit Fund has continued to support charities across Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton, donating £92,537.75 to 15 projects since March 2020. This brings the total funding to £185,889 since 2016.

Record-breaking January output for Viridor’s biggest materials recycling facility

Viridor’s biggest materials recycling facility, Crayford MRF, processed a record-breaking 34,841 tonnes of dry mixed recycling in January, up 6.8% on January 2020 when the plant’s output was 32,632 tonnes.

Viridor and Rochford extend contract to continue focus on quality recycling

Viridor has secured a new 18-month contract with Rochford District Council, enabling the company to continue to work residents to prioritise quality and reap increased recycling rewards. An extension through to autumn 2023 is available for both parties to agree in the future.

Viridor and CNIM announce handover of £252m Avonmouth Energy Recovery Facility site

A major milestone has been achieved in the construction of Viridor’s £252m Avonmouth Energy Recovery Facility, near Bristol, with contractors CNIM officially handing over the site to Viridor in December.
