Since joining Viridor in 2007, Richard has supported the business through key leadership roles in safety, health, environment, quality and security compliance.

Prior to re-joining Viridor from Pennon following KKR’s acquisition, Richard held the position of Head of Health, Safety and Security Assurance across the Pennon Group and was responsible for developing systems, processes and people to control associated risk.

Previously, Richard has a consultancy background – predominantly within the waste industry – and holds Masters degrees in Chemistry, Clean Technology, and Environmental Law.
