Metal recycling

Recycling steel and aluminium saves up to 95% of the energy required to produce metals from raw material. With each tonne of aluminium recycling it reduces industrial consumption by 9 tonnes in CO2 emissions and 4 tonnes of bauxite – the raw material from which aluminium is made, so recycling metal has a clear environmental and economic benefit.

All our Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs) are equipped to handle household metals where we partner with local authorities to recycle aluminium and steel from food, drinks and aerosol cans collected from kerbside and recycling banks.

We also extract metals from the residual ash stream at our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs), that is supplied back into industry.

If your businesses needs to dispose of steel or alumininium tins, our mixed recycling collection service is the ideal way to ensure these get recycled rather than disposed of. Interested in finding out how we can help your larger corporate organisation? Click here
