Community Liaison

The Local Liaison Forum (LLF) for the Runcorn Energy was established as part of the planning consent for the facility in 2008. The purpose of the Forum is to act as conduit between the Runcorn facility, Halton Borough Council and community stakeholders in order to keep residents updated about the facility operations. Viridor, as the operator, administers the LLF.

The LLF meets on a regular basis, and consists of the following membership:

  • Halton Borough Council 2 Officers
  • Halton Borough Council 6 Elected Members
  • Viridor 1 Representative
  • TPSCo 1 Representative
  • Environment Agency  1 Representative

Agenda/Minutes from the meetings and the Terms of Reference can be found here.

Community Newsletters can be downloaded from here.

We actively encourage our employees to take part in volunteering activities and recognise the benefits this brings to our colleagues, with opportunities to develop team building and project management skills. It also allows us to establish valuable relationships with internal and external partnerships whilst contributing to our local communities.

Staff from the Runcorn site recently volunteered at Runcorn Park Hill to help restore the land following a devastating fire. They made a great start and intend to follow up with further activities.
