Oxfordshire pupils tap into recycling for Go4SET project
Pupils from The Bicester School tapped into their interest in recycling for a Go4SET project which earned them a People’s Choice Award, will encourage greater use of tap water and refillable bottles and reduce single-use plastic at the Oxfordshire school.
Another opportunity to explore the Beddington Farmlands – June open day
Viridor is offering another opportunity to visit the 120-hectare Beddington Farmlands on 14 June with the landfill team hosting an open day for members of the community. The event follows successful open days in 2016 and 2017 and will include a walk across the wet grassland habitats which are currently under construction.
Viridor and The One Show use beach plastic to show the Circular Economy in action
Viridor and the BBC’s The One Show combined their resources to send a powerful message on the need to act now to stem the tide of beach and ocean plastics and to demonstrate how the Circular Economy can work when the right stuff is put in the right bin.
Viridor brings recycling to life for pre-schoolers on Cbeebies
Viridor’s recycling facility in Newhouse is featured on an episode of ‘Down of the Farm’, a programme on CBeebies which teaches pre-schoolers about where their food comes from, but also about how to care for the environment and its inhabitants in different seasons.
