Bonnyrigg collections

Viridor Bonnyrigg is the central collections and logistics hub, covering Edinburgh and the Lothians.

At Bonnyrigg we are set up to support all customer requirements, with a total fleet of 20 vehicles in various shapes, all utilising and benefiting from the latest state-of-the-art technology.

We are proud to be the only waste service provider to hold a 5-star rating in the Eco Star fleet recognition initiative. Eco star is awarded as recognition of our commitment to improve operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and reducing vehicle emissions.

The plant has the ability to sort to a far greater level than many other sites and in doing so, can recycle the maximum amount possible, and divert materials that would otherwise end up in a Landfill.

Forward thinking ethos

Giving back to the community and proud sponsors

Viridor's Bonnyrigg Collection site is proud to sponsor Livington Football Club and support Cash for Kids; with the aim of giving back to the community and support the children so that they can live a full life, encouraging them to realise their true potential.

The site is very active within the industry in trying to increase the recycling rates to ensure as much of the materials collected are recycled and diverted away from Landfill. It is this forward thinking, responsible approach that has led the site to having a good working relationship with local authorities in the area, due to the fact it can be seen that the site is doing its best to constantly improve the standards within the industry.
