The site has a strong community focus, praised for its fundraising activity and support of local charities.

Fundraising Events

In 2016, the staff at (now closed) Filton Transfer Station enjoyed taking part in a series of fundraising events, including a marathon, a motorcycle race, bake sales and fancy dress days, to raise money in support of Designability’s Wizzybug Loan Scheme, which enables disabled children from 18 months to five years old, access to specially designed Wizzybug wheelchairs.

Being able to donate over £4000 to Designability is a tremendous achievement, not only signifying that we work tirelessly to ensure we are working safely, but allowing us to support the fantastic work that the charity is doing in the community, we look forward to being able to support further donations in the future.
