Glass processing

Quality and process control is at the centre of Viridor’s operations to ensure our customers only receive the highest grade recycled material.

We have developed our own technology, which we use alongside proprietary techniques to decontaminate container glass cullet at our reprocessing facilities. We also use various systems for metal, ceramics and organics removal, and state-of-the-art equipment for colour separation.

Similar techniques are used to process flat glass wastes, including sealed units and laminated glass from architectural and automotive applications and other specialist/composite products.

Advanced quality control laboratories detect impurities at an early stage and ensure that only high quality materials are produced.

Viridor has an ongoing research and development programme and is always looking for investment opportunities as new markets emerge.
