Peterborough ERF

Peterborough Timelapse

Viridor is building an 85,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), close to the Peterborough Power Station in Fengate. The ERF will provide Peterborough City Council and businesses with a safe and cost-effective alternative to landfill. The plant will accept primarily Peterborough’s waste as well as non-hazardous, post-recycling waste from businesses throughout the contract life.

More info

Construction work started in the summer of 2013 and the facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2015. Hundreds of jobs and many business opportunities are being created throughout the construction phase. Once the ERF is operational it will employ 25 people.
