Viridor compost helps Chelsea garden go from green to gold

Viridor, one of the UK's leading recycling, renewable energy and waste management companies, has turned up trumps at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, with its Revive compost helping a Mexican themed garden win a gold medal award.

The company's ‘Revive' organic soil conditioner was used by gardener Jon Wheatley, Dahlia expert and Chairman of South West in Bloom, who designed and built the gold standard display for Winchester Growers.

He said: "Our plants at this year's Chelsea Flower Show have benefitted from Revive's excellent moisture retentive properties, and in the high temperatures we experienced when building the display, Revive has helped our Dahlias stay fresh and reduce wilting.

"Viridor's fully recycled and peat-free product also fulfils all the necessary environmental credentials to help us create a more sustainable garden."

Colin Drummond, Viridor's Chief Executive, was at this year's show to see the award winning garden. He said: "It is a great honour for Viridor to be involved with such a prestigious event as Chelsea.
