EU Referendum Prospect: Viridor Position

Responding to questions regarding the UK’s future relationship with Europe, the possibility of a referendum on UK membership, and potential effects on the UK's environmental and waste sectors, Viridor’s External Affairs Director, Dan Cooke said:
“Any change regarding an EU referendum is a very long time in the future. EU environmental policy has delivered a lot of positives to the UK’s environment and our sector, and has driven overall progress in resource efficiency. It is also clear that the single market is very important to the UK’s economic interests.”
