Location and access
The Anaerobic Digestion plant will be located on Viridor’s landfill and recycling site at Beddington.
The Beddington Waste Management Facility (BWMF) is an established waste site serving the South London area.
The BWMF is bordered to the east by Beddington Lane Industrial Estate and to the west by a railway line. To the north of the BWMF is Mitcham Common (a site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation).To the south is land formerly used as a sewage treatment works and a landfill site (also operated by Viridor).
There are no residential properties within 250m of the application site. However, there are some industrial and commercial premises approximately 160m away.
